Program
Our sober living program provides women with a safe, empowering environment to rebuild their lives. Through structure, accountability, and community, residents learn to live independently while maintaining a lifestyle of wellness, confidence, and purpose.
A Compassionate Approach to Long-Term Sobriety and Personal Growth
At Serenity Sisters, we understand that recovery doesn’t end with treatment — it continues with consistent structure, care, and community. Our sober living program is designed for women who are ready to reclaim their lives, one steady step at a time. We provide a balanced environment that blends accountability with independence, helping each resident rediscover her confidence, rebuild healthy habits, and reconnect with her purpose.
Within our home, recovery becomes more than sobriety — it becomes a lifestyle rooted in peace, gratitude, and growth. Through shared experiences, supportive guidance, and daily structure, women learn how to create lasting change that continues long after they leave our doors.
A Step-by-Step Path
Guided Phases Toward Confidence, Independence, and Lifelong Sobriety
Phase #1
Early Recovery (0 – 31 Days)
The first 30 days at Serenity Sisters are all about creating stability and grounding. This is a time for women to settle in, connect with their housemates, and build the foundation of accountability that supports long-term sobriety. Residents establish personal and recovery goals, begin attending daily or weekly meetings, and are encouraged to find a 12-Step sponsor who can guide them through early milestones.
Daily routines include house meetings, peer support check-ins, and guided goal setting. During this first month, residents follow a consistent curfew (11:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and midnight on weekends) and focus on integrating recovery practices into their everyday lives. Many women experience a renewed sense of hope and clarity as they begin to see the fog of addiction lift and the promise of a new life take shape.
Phase #2
Transitional Growth (31 Days – 6 Months)
After the first month, residents enter a phase of greater personal responsibility and growth. This stage focuses on building consistency — maintaining sobriety while re-engaging with work, school, or family responsibilities. Women continue attending 12-Step meetings and deepen their involvement through sponsorship, service commitments, and group participation.
Curfews become more flexible (midnight on weekdays, 1:00 AM on weekends), and limited overnight passes may be earned through accountability and progress. This phase is often both exciting and challenging — emotions stabilize, goals take shape, and life begins to feel balanced again. Through encouragement and peer mentorship, residents strengthen resilience and rediscover self-confidence as they prepare for full independence.
Phase #3
Independent Living (6 – 18 Months)
The final phase is where women experience true transformation. Residents in this stage are actively living sober, working or studying, and maintaining a strong spiritual and emotional foundation. Many take on mentorship roles, supporting new residents and demonstrating the strength that comes from sustained recovery.
During this phase, women develop long-term financial stability, deepen their 12-Step practice, and nurture meaningful relationships inside and outside the recovery community. While curfews and oversight are lighter, support remains close — offering guidance and accountability as residents prepare to transition fully to independent life. Most women remain in this stage for six to eighteen months, gaining the confidence and clarity to maintain sobriety long after leaving the home.
Building Strength Through the 12 Steps of Recovery
At Serenity Sisters, we encourage every woman to stay connected with ongoing support networks that promote long-term healing. The 12-Step Program — practiced through groups like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) — offers a proven framework for personal growth, honesty, and accountability.
Our residents are invited to attend local 12-Step meetings, share experiences, and develop meaningful connections with others in recovery. These programs complement our sober living philosophy — helping women strengthen their commitment to sobriety, nurture emotional resilience, and build a foundation for lifelong wellness.
